In Italy it is illegal to lead tours without an official license.
We are Licensed Tour Guides of Venice.
This means we have passed a challenging examination to assess our knowledge of the city and our historical, artistic and linguistic competences.

The bridge well represents us as it links different worlds, it connects people, it creates communication. That’s our job, to transfer our knowledge, to bring the visitor over the bridge that will make him discover Venice.

Giovanna

giovanna-tv

Venetian, art historian, a passionate reader and traveller.

My name is Giovanna. I was born and raised in Venice where my family still lives.

I have a degree in Art History and a master’s degree in Marketing and Communication. After university I spent many years abroad living in Paris, Brussels and Vienna. It was in Vienna that I began working in cultural tourism at the Belvedere museum. I have been a Blue Badge tourist guide for the city of Venice since 2012. I speak fluent English and French and some German too.

I think I live in the most beautiful city in the world, and through my work I rediscover its many charms on a daily basis. I love the water, which I always miss when I’m away. I love the art, a constant source of surprise to me. I love the history and how it is so interwoven with the Venice of today. And I would love to share all of this with you!

Nadia

My name is Nadia. I studied art history at Venice’s Ca’ Foscari University and have been a licensed tourist guide in Venice and at the Veneto villas since 2009. After my degree I worked in France at a contemporary art museum. I also lived in New York City for a while.

I love Venice at all times of the year. The light and colours change with the seasons, and the magic and charm of its calli (alleys), canals and majestic ancient palaces are all amplified by the water’s reflections. Thanks to my job I can share all of this with visitors to Venice.

Besides tours for adults, I also lead tours especially designed for children. I have created visits during which they can learn about Venice and its history in an entertaining and engaging way.

So, I look forward to meeting you and discovering this magnificent city together!

We collaborate with:

Cecilia, professional sommelier

My name is Cecilia, I was born and raised on the mainland but I have a real strong connection with Venice: my family comes from the Rialto Market area and my great-grandfather owned one of the most prestigious café in St. Mark’s Square.

After graduating at the University of Venice in Economy and Management of Arts, I’ve decided to follow my istincts and after few yearsI got my diploma of sommelier (2008). I’ve studied (and I currently study!) a lot and I worked in one of the best wine shop of Venice. In 2020 I successfully passed with distinction the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 2. At present I lead wine courses for a few American Military bases in Italy.

Licensed tour leader, I love my job because I love Venice, its hints and shapes but, first of all, I strongly believe that the culinary heritage is an essential part of its history.
